Space Chase Storytelling with John Kirk

Friday 23rd August, 1.30-2.30

Join storyteller John Kirk as he blasts through a trio of out of this world stories. In Jonathan Emmett’s Bringing Down the Moon, Mole tries to reach the beautiful moon but soon learns that it’s not as near as it looks. In Simon James’ The Boy from Mars, a Martian comes to stay at Stanley’s house whilst his Mum is away and gets Stanley into trouble. Chorley’s own poet in residence, Dom Conlon reveals the story behind the nursery rhyme in Why the Cow Jumped Over the Moon.

We’re thrilled that John is visiting his home town from London – here’s just one of his reviews –
Don’t miss John Kirk’s genius storytelling. He’s brilliant! John Kirk brings stories to life in an amazing way and encourages children’s reading, writing and listening skills. Jeremy Strong, author of The Hundred Mile an Hour Dog
