Dave Haslam – Sonic Youth Slept On My Floor

Writer, broadcaster and legendary Hacienda DJ Dave Haslam will be talking about his evocative memoir Sonic Youth Slept On My Floor, a book recommended by Q Magazine “for fans of club culture, pop music, youthful exuberance and grown-up wisdom”.

Q&A and book-signing to follow. Books will be for sale at the event, the night before the official paperback publication date.

Chorley Book Reading Club

Thursday evening reading group – Monthly 7.30pm

Our reading group meets in the shop to discuss a different book each month, voted for by the group.

Previous choices include Patrick Gale’s Notes From an Exhibition, Iain Banks’s Espedair St, Mark Haddon’s The Red House, Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar and Jon Ronson’s The Psychopath Test.

Our evening reading group is full at the moment (with a waiting list!) but if you’re interested in coming along to a self-run daytime group, please get in touch.
